On tour for their 40th Anniversary, Hot Rize performs in Woodward Theatre on Saturday, November 3rd, 2018.
Steeped in bluegrass tradition through long hours on the road spent listening to the genre’s giants, Hot Rize’s music was and is equally informed by a taste for the music of Leadbelly and Freddie King, swing, old-time Appalachia and more in ways that mirror the broad sweep of Bill Monroe’s influences. Their original songs are part of the bluegrass canon, and their showmanship earned them the first ever IBMA Entertainer of the Year award.
Doors open at 6 pm, show starts at 8 pm. Exhibits will be open for touring up until show time.
