Born of an enduring friendship and a love of traditional bluegrass music, Pitney Meyer is the musical brotherhood and songwriting collaborationof Mo Pitney and John Meyer. Committed to capturing the human element at every level of therecording process, Pitney Meyer, alongside Serve Productions, built acompletely analog recording studio in the heart of an 1837 hand-hewnlog cabin, formerly owned by Johnny Cash, now the StorytellersHideaway Farm in Bon Aqua, Tennessee. Over a period of three days, Pitney Meyer produced and recorded itsdebut album,Cherokee Pioneer, featuring Nate Burie on mandolin, Ivy Phillips on Fiddle, Blake Pitney on Bass, andfive-time CMA Musician ofthe Year Jenee Fleenor on Fiddle. Pitney Meyer’s stand-alone debut single, “That Sounds Lonesome,” isset to release July 19, 2024, with the duo’s debut full-lengthalbum,Cherokee Pioneer, following in the Spring of 2025.
